Welcome to Wholesomeness Vibes

Wholesomeness Vibes brings an easier and less intense yoga practice focused on breath and thoughtful movements. Our yoga practice is ideal for those dealing with sore joints, stress, muscle tension, flexibility, and balance. Whether you’re seeking a calm and restorative experience or an engaging and fun practice for children, Wholesomeness Vibes has something for everyone!

Meet the Founder

MPH (Masters of Public Health) and a holistic health coach

Cherwanda “CC” is a Navy and Air National Guard Veteran, certified and registered as a Yoga Alliance RYT200 and BYTA (Black Yoga Teacher Alliance) instructor. CC is trained in Gentle Yoga approaches, including Restorative and Yin Yoga. She enjoys facilitating both Children’s Yoga and Gentle Yoga sessions, whether indoors or outdoors.

Gentle Yoga for Wellness

Lots of research is being done into how gentle yoga may help with physical and non-physical symptoms relating to debilitating diseases that weaken our bodies and brain functions over time. These could include: Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease), etc. Studies has shown that yoga may help lessen slowness and stiffness, improve balance and flexibility (especially in hips and ankles) and increase muscle strength and power. Our gentle yoga practice sequences involves moving different parts of your body in different directions thus improving blood supply and nutrients to the brain, this can help thinking skills and memory.

Our gentle yoga may also help older adults who are disproportionately affected by high blood pressure, chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis and heart disease. Participating in our regular gentle yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body- wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Gentle yoga has been shown to ease some of the discomfort of tender, swollen joints for people with arthritis.

We can bring yoga to our elders in one on one sessions and group settings at - Assisted Living Communities, - Senior Citizen Community Centers and Church .

Specialized Trauma-Resilience Yoga for Veterans

Wholesomeness Vibes delivers a calm yoga practice to those who have experienced traumatic injury whether physically and/or mentally (which includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, etc). Combining physical postures, breathing and meditation techniques, have been shown to improve mental health, sleep and quality of life outcomes for Veterans.

Children’s Yoga – Fun, Mindful, and Engaging!

Wholesomeness Vibes offers an exciting yoga program for children ages 3 to 14, designed to encourage movement, mindfulness, and fun. Our curriculum, inspired by Pretzel Kids and Grounded Kids, incorporates themed classes with engaging storytelling, imagination, and traditional yoga poses.
